Luna-25 is the first attempt worked by modern Russian agencies. They tried their level best for a smooth and safe landing of a spacecraft on the Moon. But, unfortunately, it has ended in failure and not success. The technology is advanced nowadays but still, the space agency has highlighted the uncertainties in the respective mission process.
The space agencies are not mastered yet even after getting success more than 20 times which includes six times having individuals on board. As per the records and appropriate reports, successful landings were observed between the years 1966 and 1976 that happened on the Moon. · Russian Luna-25 is also called with the name of Luna-Glob-Lander which was developed to understand the composition of the moon’s soil. The Lun-25 consists of a thin lunar exposure which was on a mission with India’s Chandrayaan-3 Lunar Lander.
· India country has launched the Chandrayaan-1 in the mid-month of July 2023. The Russian Luna-25 and Chandrayaan-3 were headed towards the Moon and to reach the South Pole area.
· According to the studies, the Moon South Pole region is least explored by any of the countries and this is the reason why scientists have an interest in the respective area. Space professionals have different beliefs about this geographical region like the water is stored in the form of frozen solid like ice on the lunar surface.

Jonathan McDowell, who is a well-known researcher working at the Center for Astrophysics has given a statement that the scientists have been working on these projects for a long duration.
In addition, the European space agency has tried to plan a partnership with Roscosmos on Luna-25, Luna-26, and Luna-27, ExoMars rover. As per the reports, the respective partnership was not successful and ceased in the month of April 2022. This happened after the Russian attack on Ukraine.

· The Russian Luna-25 consists of 8 technical specialized instruments which are known as spectrometers. The scientists were working to explore more about the Lunar Moon Soil and surface water.
· The major difference between the Russian Luna-25 and India’s Chandrayaan-3 is that the Luna-25 does not have a lander, propulsion module, and last one rover while India’s Chandrayaan-3 has all three in addition.
The Chandrayaan-3 reached successfully and marked its first touchdown for India. The initial attempt by India was held in 2019 and known as the Chandrayaan-2 which got crashed on September 2019. So, it leads to the failure case of Chandrayaan-2. After this, India again tried for Chandrayaan-3 and successfully landed on the Moon on 23 August 2023.

· As per the statement given by Russia’s scientific agency, they added that the reason for the Russian Luna-25 crash was due to engine failure and unable to shut down appropriately. This statement was given on 21st August 2023. The technical agencies have blamed the Russian country for not working and exploring the lunar topic.
· Luna 25 which was pilotless and about to reach the Moon on 21st August. Luna-25 was scheduled with the goal that it will call the first spacecraft to reach the South Pole region on the Moon. The scientists had a plan that it would work for 84 seconds but actually, it worked for 127 seconds. The biggest reason that Luna-25 was a failure was that it failed of the emergency; it was stated by the Russian 24 news channel.

As per the studies, both are expected to succeed in between 21st to 23rd of August to reach the South Pole on the Moon.
